Build a world
beyond whiteness.

For organizers feeling fear, struggling with conflict and coordinating collective action.
Two people are standing close together, holding hands and looking at each other. One person is wearing a long, striped dress, and the other is in a black jumpsuit. Several people are sitting and standing around in a wooden, tent-like room.

Uncertainty and chaos are exhausting. Threats to individual and community safety bring up habitual survival and stress management strategies. Infighting is everywhere.

Time off helps, but burnout is still lurking. A new therapist or setting boundaries didn’t solve all the problems either.

To really navigate today’s demands, organizers need:

  • A North Star goal specific to your challenges and longings.

  • A supportive, antiracist network of peers who have your back.

  • Regular practices-like physical movement or song-to support actions aligned with your values.

At Embodying Racial Justice, we are ready to help.

We are teachers, facilitators and coaches focused on developing your leadership. Our offerings support you in engaging in social change with a clear vision, an antiracist community, and strategy designed to build social movements.

Collectively, we have decades of experience in movement work. We studied with Strozzi Institute and generative somatics. We have additional training from Coaching for Transformation, Leadership that Works. We've also studied with Resmaa Menekam, Susan Raffo and many others. Our experience fuels the ERJ offerings that serve hundreds of organizers around the country. We begin with the body.

We care because healing, growth and learning are essential components of collective action. Fighting racism and white supremacy requires love, rigor and community. We know our individual and collective bodies have so much to offer our liberation movements.
